Citadel Healthcare is seeking a Resident Assistant to join their team at the Waterford Care Center. The role involves providing exceptional customer service and non-medical assistance to residents, ensuring their comfort and addressing their needs.

Responsibilities

Greet and maintain positive, friendly relationships with all residents

Assist in-room residents by visiting with them, writing letters, running errands, and perform assistance with crafts, projects, etc., as necessary

Ensure that rooms are prepared for the arrival of new residents

Assist with the distribution of food trays to residents

Manage, maintain, and organize resident property in accordance with polices and standards

Help organize and put away resident laundry

Answer call-lights, and get appropriate staff to help resident if needed

Address any concerns that residents may have with appropriate department heads and leadership

Bring residents to assigned areas throughout the facility as needed

Make beds, and straighten up rooms

All other duties as assigned

Qualification

English proficiencyCustomer serviceCompassion for elderlyHigh School DiplomaCertified nursing program

Required

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

The ability to serve our residents in a manner that makes them feel valued

A passion for the elderly and other residents in our care

High School Diploma or equivalent, required

Must enroll in a certified nursing certificate program within 3-6 months of employment

Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required

Ability to push a wheelchair weighing up to 300 lbs

Limited potential for exposure to environmental hazards. Understanding and adherence to company safety standards and protocols required
