Responsibilities
Assists customers by identifying solid waste material type, determining appropriate cost, and appropriate disposal
Distinguishes waste material from recyclable materials and offers instruction to customers as to proper sorting and disposal
Maintains clean work station at the convenience center
Distinguishes refuse from recyclable materials and offers instruction to customers as to proper sorting and disposal
Maintains clean workstation
Calculates garbage fee totals (on the spot) and makes correct change to customers
Counts cash collected and keeps daily log
Responds to customer inquiries and provides information regarding items acceptable and unacceptable at the Union County Convenience Centers at the Solid Waste Management Facility
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or an acceptable equivalency diploma (GED)
Must have a valid Driver's License and be able to maintain a safe driving history as defined by the Union County Vehicle Use Policy
Works various shifts including weekends and holidays as assigned
