Facilities Infrastructure Assessor (Healthcare)
Echo Power is a professional engineering and project services company focused on delivering innovative solutions to healthcare facilities. As a Facilities Infrastructure Assessor (Healthcare), you will conduct onsite MEP facility assessments, develop budgets and schedules, and support capital programming efforts to guide clients in their decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
Conduct onsite MEP facility assessments and document existing conditions, deficiencies, and system performance
Provide quick turnaround on triage-level requests, including preliminary findings, recommended next steps, and high-level cost and schedule implications
Prioritize client requests based on urgency, capital planning needs, and compliance requirements
Prepare conceptual estimates, Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) budgets, and detailed take-offs as project scope evolves
Collaborate with engineering, construction, and vendor teams to validate pricing and scope
Maintain historical cost data to improve estimate accuracy
Partner with project managers, engineers, directors, and business development to align assessments with client expectations
Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders through concise findings reports and recommendations
Support proposal development by preparing scope narratives, budgets, technical exhibits, timelines, and spend plans
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in estimating, facility assessments, or preconstruction in an MEP or construction environment
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems — preferably in healthcare environments
Proficiency with estimating software, Excel, and project management tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present findings to executives and facility leaders
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously
Preferred
Experience with healthcare codes, standards, and compliance requirements
Background in both design and construction environments (design-build preferred)
Professional certifications (ASPE, AACE, LEED, PMP) a plus
