Responsibilities

Review and process all account files and editor on the day they are received

Ensure accurate and timely billing of all patient accounts; ensure accurate and complete billing information are entered in the electronic billing record

Consistently identify and resolve billing discrepancies to ensure and expedite compliance and reimbursement, audit and track billing issues through the unbilled reports on a weekly basis

Ensure an organized, complete, and functional medical record is available to staff at all times

Assist with coordination of referrals

Consistently demonstrate the ability to assess a situation from a variety of perspectives; consider alternatives and chooses the appropriate course of action

Ensures that all office processes flow smoothly and efficiently

Safeguard the public relations of the department by exhibiting consistent, professional conduct

Maintain confidentiality of information and demonstrates knowledge and compliance with all Federal, State, organizational, and departmental regulations and policies

Required

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to use various business office computers, phones, and Microsoft software

Ability to manage multiple office procedures, processes, and resources in an organized manner

Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Position requires sedentary work of 70-80% of shift

Occasional lifting to 10 pounds and carry small objects
