Model-Based Systems Engineer Senior F-16 WAM (Top-Secret)

Responsibilities

Shall apply experience with complex systems engineering tools and languages, such as Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Cameo Systems Modeler
Will have experience with Rational Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) (or similar) and experience with Siemens Teamcenter
Shall apply knowledge, skills, and/or experience working in a collaborative Cloud-based network environment, using modeling languages (included but not limited SysML, C++, and Linux along with software tools such as Cameo, Siemens Teamcenter, and Jira/Confluence), and creating/implementing databases with Structured Query Language (SQL) and Oracle on Linux and Windows-based platforms
Will accomplish engineering tasks necessary to support management operations functions within AFLCMC/WAM, applying expert knowledge and mastery of advanced engineering theories, principles, concepts, standards, and methods to ensure assigned projects remain consistent with program objectives, costs, schedules, performance criteria, and existing policies
Will be familiar with DoD, Air Force and lower-level policy, publications, supplements, and manuals (e.g., DoDI 5000.02) as well as other (e.g. AFMC and AFLCMC) applicable acquisition and engineering documents and regulations, systems, criteria, processes and guides, as required
Shall advise Program Office and Engineering leadership in the process of developing, refining and implementing systems engineering reference architecture for complex aerospace propulsion systems
Will attend meetings, generate plans, author documents, participate in and provide advice and direction to a consortium of major defense contractors developing and implementing systems architecture, style guides, and all appropriate interface control models for complex air breathing aerospace propulsion systems
Will communicate clearly with technical representatives from industry members of the consortium as well as with government stakeholders managing the direction and decisions of the consortium
Will take an active role in all activities required to define a common style guide, determine the appropriate level of component model fidelity for inclusion in high level system models, and develop refine and implement a common reference architecture for use by consortium participants

Required

Must have at least an active top-secret clearance
Master's or Doctoral Degree in a related field and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, at least five (5) of which must be in the DoD
OR, Bachelor's Degree in a related field and a minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD
OR, a minimum of fifteen (15) years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD
Required to possess and maintain a current Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification

Preferred

Recommend computer engineer, electrical engineer or computer science ABET accredited degrees or BS in information assurance or information systems
Recommend a minimum of ten years of systems engineering, systems security engineering, or IA experience
Recommend expertise in state of a system where it is performing its intended functions without being degraded or impaired by changes or disruptions in its internal or external environments (systems integrity) and IA
