Customer Vertical Specialist

Responsibilities
Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI
Analyze material handling customers to develop foot in the door sales strategies designed around product and application specific solutions
Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and supply chain teams in the rollout of new product introductions, expanding wallet share, inventory stocking strategies and market to drive measurable results for the entire organization
Research for prospective material handling customers and determine their available product category spend potential
Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current and prospective suppliers that are aligned with our profitable growth strategies
Identify, build, and implement internal operational processes or programs to better support the material handling vertical across the organization. Items to include, but not limited to new fabrication processes or techniques, repair centers and/or installation processes
Travel extensively in the Region(s) to train the sales team, make joint sales calls with Belt Power Territory Managers and direct End User sales calls to drive profitable growth of the material handling vertical
Support Territory Managers in the promotion/ sell/ and securing orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship and consultative selling approach
Assist and support company sales teams servicing adjacent territories
Make telephone calls and in-person visits and deliver presentations regarding our value proposition
Coordinate sales with the Account Managers to generate customer quotes and order status
Keep up to date on product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of relevant literature and consulting with marketing and technical teams
Participate in trade shows and conventions
Follow up with customers regarding their pending quotes and other opportunities
Create and analyze sales reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
Build and deliver material handling training modules internally for Territory Managers and externally for customers focused on product and application solutions
Consistent documentation of qualified opportunities in company’s pipeline management platform
Respect, protect, support, company culture
Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations
Required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
Always represent Belt Power in a professional manner
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Frequent overnight travel expected at a minimum of 50-60%
Previous outside sales experience in industrial distribution required
Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience and the ability to others to fish through effective training strategies
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-Driven with the organization and prioritization skills to manage efficient travel across a multiple State region
Highly responsive to and respectful of customer needs
24/7 availability to customers
Attention to detail and observant in discussions with customers
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Cold call-in person and over the phone with ease
Competency in Microsoft Office including MS Teams
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Overtime hours and weekend work may be required
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
Preferred
Experience with conveyors and/or automation preferred
CRM proficiency with HubSpot or comparable platform
