This role focuses on building financial analysis skills and gaining exposure to client advisory work while assisting with onboarding, financial reporting, and various analytical projects.

Responsibilities

Assist with onboarding new CFO clients by collecting and organizing financial data
Support the preparation of budgets, cash flow analyses, and benchmarking reports
Help ensure financial information is accurate, complete, and ready for analysis
Prepare and update monthly financial reports for CFO clients
Track results against budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators
Flag variances, trends, and data inconsistencies for review by senior CFO consultants
Support agency valuation projects by assisting with financial normalization, building and maintaining models, and preparing backup documentation
Assist with compensation analysis, benchmarking, acquisition analysis, financial modeling, and other special projects
Contribute to the internal data and benchmarking initiatives to improve reporting tools and processes
Attend client meetings with senior CFO consultants to observe and learn best practices in financial advisory services
Draft meeting notes, summaries, and follow-up items
Develop a working understanding of financial consulting for independent insurance agencies

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in Excel. Experience with financial modeling or reporting tools is a plus
Strong communication, written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Ability to organize data, meet deadlines, and work in a collaborative team environment
Self motivated and driven
Eagerness to learn and grow in a client-focused financial role

Preferred

Experience in the insurance industry or an independent insurance agency is a plus
