Responsibilities
Call and visit prospective customers and establish buying cycles, customer needs, and create a customer supplier relationship
Maintain assigned accounts
Increase sales in respective accounts
Prepare sales information for customers
Secure and place orders taking into consideration delivery dates and inventory levels for fulfillment
Provide support to customers over the phone
Resolves client issues by researching and solving problems
Inbound/Outbound phone calls
Inbound/Outbound Email correspondence
Manage database
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Demonstrable previous experience as an Outside Sales Representative
A high school diploma or equivalent is required
A minimum of two years of customer service or sales experience
Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be well organized and detail oriented
Must be able to work with constant interruption
Must be proficient with MS Office to include Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Must have valid driver's license with clean driving record
Periodic physical effort, including standing, is required during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day
Employee must be able to periodically stand for extended periods of time, and to stoop, bend, and crouch as required to perform Key Duties
Ability to lift, on a frequent basis, at least 25 pounds personally and the ability to carry up to 15 pounds personally
Frequent ability to sit for long periods of time
Ability to drive a company vehicle (must have a valid Florida driver's license)
Frequent ability to talk and hear, both in person and by telephone
Frequent ability to operate standard office equipment, using hand and arm dexterity
Frequent ability to navigate through office environment, including periodic use of stairs and/or elevator, as needed
Frequent vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to focus
Work is performed predominately indoors, although periodic visits to construction sites or asphalt manufacturing facilities may be required
Preferred
Customer service experience in construction, mining, landfills, or aggregate
SAP experience preferred
