Provides support to management and staff in the daily operations of inpatient and outpatient billing and collections to promote positive customer and employee relations and optimize management of accounts receivables
Extensive knowledge of billing guidelines and regulations needed to identify and resolve issues that impact timely reimbursement along with educating the staff of changes
Provides education to staff of current billing practices
Provides leadership and guidance to staff in the absence of management
Resource and subject matter expert in job role for peer-to-peer support
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
3 years Patient Registration/Business Office required
Communication and interpersonal skills required
General computer and data entry skills required
Excellent customer service skills required
Ability to problem solve required
Ability to troubleshoot required
Ability to operate office equipment (phone, fax, and copier) required
Familiar with Medical terminology required
Preferred
Some college preferred
Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS-I) preferred
