Responsibilities

Design, implement, and support enterprise routing architectures leveraging OSPF, ISIS, and BGP to ensure high availability, efficiency, and performance

Administer and manage enterprise network switches and routers from Cisco and Juniper, including Cisco IOS and JunOS updates

Develop and maintain network documentation including ConOPS, SOPs/MOPs, and detailed network diagrams

Serve as an escalation point for advanced routing and network troubleshooting

Identify and resolve complex network issues to minimize downtime and maximize reliability

Collaborate with reliability and operations teams to enhance monitoring, alerting, and system metrics

Contribute to operational excellence by establishing clear procedures and operational processes

Support automation initiatives and management toolkits to improve network efficiency

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network designs with mission and organizational goals

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers

Participate in an on-call rotation providing 24/7 operational support, including after-hours on-site support when required
