Accountant/ Auditor
Responsibilities
Conduct financial and procedural audits by evaluating internal controls, and initiating corrective measures when directed by supervisor
Ensures compliance with State and County mandated fees, fines and costs by monitoring and tracking all County office disbursements
Responds to questions, provides required data, and makes audit recommendations for each audit report
Serves as team leader during assigned audits by planning the work flow, assisting in developing audit work programs, and providing assistance as needed
Performs related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Two to three years of experience in general auditing and accounting
Valid Texas Drivers License with an acceptable driving record
