Responsibilities

Lead and manage a multidisciplinary civil engineering team
Develop and implement strategic plans for infrastructure development and improvement
Collaborate with executive leadership to align engineering initiatives with business objectives
Oversee the design and execution of civil engineering projects including roads, bridges, water systems, and site development
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
Review and approve engineering plans, specifications, and reports
Ensure all engineering activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations
Maintain and enforce safety standards and environmental regulations
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
Mentor and develop engineering staff through training, performance reviews, and career development planning
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Serve as a key liaison with clients, government agencies, contractors, and internal departments
Present project updates and technical information to stakeholders and senior leadership

Professional Engineer (PE) licenseCivil Engineering degreeLeadership experienceMunicipality experienceEngineering software knowledgeCommunication skillsOrganizational skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Municipality experience required
Minimum of 12 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 10 years in a leadership/management role
Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS)
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
