Denver City Council Aide | District 4
The City and County of Denver is seeking a highly professional and community-focused City Council Aide to support the Councilmember in District 4. This role involves managing constituent services, conducting policy research, and engaging with the community to address district issues and enhance legislative initiatives.

Responsibilities
Identify district issues and recommend strategies for programs, policies, and legislation
Monitor city wide legislation, meetings, and policy developments
Draft official documents, talking points, and statements on behalf of the office
Collaborate with diverse populations and community partners on policy initiatives
Respond promptly and professionally to constituent inquiries
Collaborate with City agencies to resolve district concerns
Attend and participate in meetings with Neighborhood Organizations and City-affiliated groups
Accompany the Councilmember to external and public meetings
Build relationships with community members, organizations, and stakeholders
Manage calendars, scheduling, and meeting coordination
Take thorough meeting notes and provide timely follow-up
Serve as a liaison with City departments and internal stakeholders
Support office social media engagement and content planning
Maintain and update the office website
Support the creation and distribution of marketing and outreach materials
Draft clear, effective written communication for internal and external audiences
Qualification
Required
Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree
Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of public sector experience or similar professional experience that included office administration, constituent services, community outreach, public relations, or communications
Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements
Licensure/Certifications: By position, requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment
