Responsibilities

Serve in a senior legal and consultative role as an Attorney 4 within the Louisiana Department of Health’s Bureau of Legal Services, providing guidance and legal support to the Office of the Secretary
Review, draft, negotiate, and advise on contracts and other legally binding agreements in accordance with applicable state and federal laws and LDH policies
Provide legal counsel on Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Solicitations for Proposals (SFPs), and procurement matters, ensuring compliance with procurement laws, rules, and procedures
Draft, review, and interpret Cooperative Endeavor Agreements (CEAs), Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), and other contractual instruments on behalf of LDH
Handle and advise on contract-related protests and disputes, including participation in procurement protests and related administrative or legal proceedings
Provide legal services related to transactions and issues involving property owned by or under the control and management of LDH
Serve as specialized counsel on special litigation projects and provide assistance with Judicial Review matters when additional legal expertise or support is required
