They are seeking an Industrial Design Intern to explore product concepts, collaborate with design teams, and contribute to innovative kitchen solutions during the summer internship program.

Responsibilities

Generate imaginative product concepts through sketching, modeling, and storytelling that express Cuisinart’s brand DNA and design vision

Explore emerging lifestyle, food, and material trends to spark new ideas and design directions

Develop 3D models, mockups, and renderings using tools like SolidWorks, Rhino, KeyShot, and Adobe Creative Suite to bring concepts to life

Work alongside engineers, CMF specialists, marketers, and culinary experts to refine design intent and align aesthetics with function and feasibility

Build compelling visuals and presentations that share your creative process, insights, and product stories with cross-functional teams

Participate in brainstorming sessions, design critiques, and prototype evaluations—bringing a fresh, inspired point of view to every discussion

Required

A rising senior or graduate student pursuing a degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related discipline

Proficient in sketching, visual storytelling, and 3D modeling/rendering (SolidWorks, Rhino, KeyShot, Adobe Creative Suite)

Energized by consumer-centric design—you're curious about how people cook, live, and connect through products

A collaborative problem-solver with an eye for detail, a passion for beautiful functionality, and a positive, can-do attitude

Always tuned into design trends, social media inspiration, and material innovations that can shape the next great product experience

You should be a current college student, entering your senior year in the fall of 2026

The internship program will run from June 1, 2026, through August 7, 2026. Interns will work Monday through Friday on a 37.5-hour work week schedule, which includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day

We require candidates to maintain excellent academic standing

Demonstrated strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential for success in this role

Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, is a must

As part of our hybrid work model, interns are expected to be present in the office 4 days a week with Friday being a work from anywhere day

Conair does not provide housing for summer interns

Compensation for all internship positions is set at $25 per hour, and the internship is based out of our Stamford, CT or Newton, MA corporate office locations

At this time, we are unable to sponsor visas or OPT

Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods of time

Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time
