Configuration Management Specialist
Royal Engineered Composites is focused on fulfilling customer expectations through precise alignment with contractual requirements. The Configuration Management Specialist is responsible for reviewing customer contracts and ensuring that technical documentation and engineering systems meet these requirements.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement Configuration Management (CM) plans, policies, and procedures aligned with business objectives and project requirements
Support the creation and continuous improvement of tools and business processes that enable effective configuration management
Review engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and other technical documents in conjunction with reviewing contract requirements, terms and conditions
Accurately input, update, and manage configuration data within engineering and manufacturing systems
Build and validate BOMs for new products and verify BOMs for legacy work
Ensure all configuration data aligns precisely with contract requirements and technical documentation
Maintain data integrity and accuracy across the entire product lifecycle
Identify and resolve discrepancies in technical documentation
Work closely with lead specialists, engineers, and other stakeholders to clarify technical requirements
Produce clear, detailed written plans and overviews of configuration management strategies
Analyze configuration management metrics and recommend opportunities to improve processes, tools, and data accuracy
Specification testing per customer and certification requirements
Perform other duties as assigned for the good of the department and company
Be actively engaged in the department's 6S program and complete all necessary paperwork
Ability to maintain regular, punctual, and reliable attendance as set by the supervisor according to handbook guidelines consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Abide by all safety, quality, personnel, and other policies as applicable
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
5 years of experience in a highly regulated, quality-driven industry (e.g., aerospace, medical, etc)
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or product lifecycle management (PLM) systems - or similar data management tools
Proven ability to work with technical documents such as blueprints, schematics, CAD models and specifications
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping
Strong technical acumen with the ability to quickly grasp complex technical information
Highly organized and methodical, with a passion for precision
Strong written and verbal communication skills for translating complex technical concepts into clear documentation
Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
Preferred
Familiarity with ISO, AS9100, or NADCAP quality systems
