Responsibilities
Lead internal communications for CAP, ensuring staff and members clearly understand organizational priorities, changes, and decisions
Develop and carry out an internal communications approach that supports organizational goals and major initiatives, including change efforts
Manage internal communication channels and maintain a central source for change-related updates
Ensure information is clear, timely, consistent, and accessible
Work closely with leadership to turn complex or sensitive topics into straightforward, actionable messages
Advise on the best timing and approach for communications and support two-way dialogue
Ensure urgent or critical updates are delivered accurately
Evaluate how well internal communications are working and make improvements as needed
Qualification
Required
Experience leading internal communications and supporting organizational change in a complex environment
Comfortable advising leadership
Ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution
Ability to adapt quickly when priorities shift
Strong judgment
Ability to build trust across the organization
Experience managing internal communication platforms and feedback tools
Familiarity with inclusive and accessible communication practices
Successful completion of a comprehensive background check
