The California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) is a leader in emergency management and homeland security. They are seeking a Program Manager I to manage resources and implement work program objectives for the Public Assistance Division during disaster recovery operations.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the management, supervision, and organization of resources and the implementation of work program objectives assigned to the Public Assistance (PA) Division and Unit
Perform PA program work during disaster recovery operations
Supervisorial responsibility for professional staff
Planning, coordinating, and directing resources to effectively implement work tasks associated with collecting Preliminary Damage Assessments (PDAs) data
Preparing Project Work Sheet (PWs) and Damage Survey Reports (DSRs) that identify and request reimbursement of eligible disaster damages related to federal and state declared disasters
Directing project and disaster close-out, field coordination, and recovery operations support

Required

Valid Driver's License (DL)
Ability to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment
Experience in managing, supervising, and organizing resources
Ability to perform PA program work during disaster recovery operations
Adaptability in a demanding and changing environment
Experience in balancing routine workload and short-term tasks
Ability to act independently
Supervisorial responsibility for professional staff
Planning, coordinating, and directing resources to implement work tasks
Experience in collecting Preliminary Damage Assessments (PDAs) data
Experience in preparing Project Work Sheets (PWs)
Experience in preparing Damage Survey Reports (DSRs)
Experience in directing project and disaster close-out
Experience in field coordination and recovery operations support
