Responsibilities
Serve as a primary technical resource for the design, administration, monitoring, and support of on-premises and cloud infrastructure systems
Install, upgrade, configure, and maintain operating systems, storage systems, and data center hardware
Lead patch management, performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning for complex environments
Design, implement, and support server and data center architectures with real-time monitoring and alerting
Establish, test, and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies and procedures
Perform impact analysis for new or expanding systems and coordinate upgrades to meet SLA requirements
Plan and support all phases of moderately complex infrastructure projects, including cost estimation
Provide technical input on future technology direction, upgrades, and system enhancements
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and coordinate with internal teams and third-party vendors
Implement DevOps and automation solutions using industry-standard scripting and toolsets
Maintain accurate documentation, procedures, and technical standards
Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced administrators and technicians
Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to ensure system availability and reliability
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
(Additional 3 years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree)
Minimum of 5 years of directly related infrastructure or systems administration experience
Experience planning and executing migration of on-premises to cloud-based server environments
Experience with Azure, AWS, and Microsoft technologies
Experience managing Linux server environments, including OS installation and administration
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office 365, Windows Servers, Linux Servers, AWS SysOps, and VMware vSphere
Experience with DevOps toolsets such as GitHub, Terraform, and Ansible
Preferred
Experience migrating on-premises environments to cloud platforms
Azure, AWS, or Microsoft certifications
Project management experience or formal training
