The Business Technology Specialist 1 will serve as the lead for technology support, analyzing and demonstrating proposed technology solutions while facilitating communication between end-users and technology staff.

Responsibilities

Serves as the lead Portfolio Specialist for LSP technology support section

Analyzes and demos proposed technology solutions

Conducts advanced project analyses relative to LADPS technology initiatives, business processes, and/or systems. Serves as a liaison between end-users and technology staff to facilitate ideas and discussions related to project analysis and reporting

Communicates with users to explain technology changes as it relates to agency operations. Prepares a variety of official communications relative to technical changes

Required

Six years of experience in information technology, project management or business analysis

Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus four years of experience in information technology, project management or business analysis

An associate's degree in information technology plus four years of experience in information technology, project management or business analysis

A bachelor's degree plus four years of experience in information technology, project management or business analysis

A bachelor's degree with twenty-four semester hours in an information technology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or business analytics field plus three years of experience in information technology, project management or business analysis

A master's degree plus three years of experience in information technology, project management or business analysis

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field

A certification in an approved area may be substituted for the education and/or experience requirements at the time of hire or promotion
