Walmart Canada is seeking an Optical Lab Production Floor Associate to join their team. The role involves producing and manufacturing corrective eyewear, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring productivity in the facility. Associates will also communicate with team members and vendors to support operations.

Responsibilities

Ensure productivity of facility by processing work orders to workload and prioritizing orders maintains quality accuracy and integrity of inventory by scanning product in and out of departments using system software sorting placing and storing freight or work orders in proper locations moving freight manually

Produce and manufacture corrective eyewear by preparing lenses for production for example tracing blocking first inspection producing lenses for placement in frames using edging equipment manually mounting lenses in frames and assembling eyewear and completing cosmetic addonsfor example polish tint

Produce and manufacture corrective eyewear by preparing lenses for production example layout taping blocking creating curvature and thickness of lenses according to prescription using lens grinding equipment applying hard coating to lenses and preparing lenses for addons example tint no glare

Maintain quality standards by reviewing and analyzing work tickets or other information for accuracy adhering to standard operating procedures and evaluating produced work for quality

Communicate with other WalMart associates and vendors verbally or in writing
