Responsibilities

Supports and demonstrates IMA’s core values
Values and understands the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates
Prepares information needed to market new and renewal business
Identifies and assesses business that may fit into carrier programs
Independently interfaces with clients and carriers to solve problems and answer questions
Develops and maintains proactive communication with clients
Reviews and analyzes quotes, and negotiates the terms of the transaction
Prepares draft proposals, submissions, and quotes
Monitors market changes and performs marketing activities as needed by Broker
Maintains knowledge of insurance coverages, carriers, and their business practices
Gathers underwriting information from retail agents
Assists with invoice management
Provides exceptional customer service to incoming calls
Executes other duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

2+ years of insurance industry experience
Demonstrated experience managing commercial underwriting and renewal processes
Advanced computer skills, to include typing, MS Office, and Excel software
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, to include presentation skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong time management and organizational skills
Applicable state P&C license required
Strong sales and marketing skills
Solid business acumen
Interest in continued education and professional development
Excellent interpersonal skills, both internally and externally

Preferred
