Commonwealth of Kentucky is committed to providing care for veterans through the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center. They are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk II to support the financial operations of the facility and assist in serving Kentucky’s Veterans.

Responsibilities
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable in eMARS
Review invoices and financial documents for accuracy and regulatory compliance
Collect and process payments for resident billing, meal tickets, and gift shop receivables
Administer resident accounts, including resident checking and safe accounts
Serve as facility ProCard Administrator and Wireless Coordinator
Process travel reimbursements and banking transactions
Reconcile facility and resident accounts
Prepare financial reports and assist facility leadership as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school graduate
Three years of accounting, bookkeeping, or fiscal clerical experience
Training in accounting, business administration, business education, office administration, or a related field will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
Accounting, bookkeeping, or fiscal clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis
Preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
Effective communication and customer service skills
Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
