The Harbor Bank of Maryland is seeking a Senior Systems and Cloud Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of cloud-based solutions within Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 ecosystems. The role focuses on security, compliance, and operational excellence while providing Tier 3 support and ensuring adherence to banking regulations.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive

Implement and maintain security and compliance solutions such as MS Purview, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Identity, and Office 365

Configure and optimize Azure Active Directory, conditional access policies, and identity governance

Deploy and manage Microsoft Intune for device compliance, application deployment, and endpoint security

Implement Windows Hello for Business for secure authentication and identity protection

Provide Tier 3 support for complex endpoint and cloud-related issues

Collaborate on network security initiatives, including firewall configuration (FortiGate), wireless (Meraki), and switching (Ubiquiti)

Develop and maintain documentation for cloud architecture, security policies, and operational procedures

Ensure compliance with banking regulations, risk management, and cybersecurity standards

Assist in integrating cloud solutions with on-premises systems and legacy banking applications

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive improvements

Comply with all federal and state regulations and rules impacting this position, meet all risk and compliance obligations, including the completion of required training

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

5+ years of experience in Systems/Cloud Engineering or Microsoft 365/Azure administration, with a focus on designing, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise infrastructures

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, 365, Purview, Defender Suite, Intune, and Exchange Online

Strong understanding of network security and firewall technologies

Preferred

Banking industry experience and familiarity with FIS, Fiserv, or similar systems

Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, or Fortinet NSE

Experience integrating cloud and on-premises environments in regulated industries
