Responsibilities

Own technical delivery for the Quote product platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and quality while partnering with Product Owners who drive product vision and prioritization

Manage critical vendor partnerships - particularly with Paradigm - to align product roadmaps and ensure enterprise-level reliability and scale

Own and drive partner delivery excellence for staff augment/contractor vendors; responsible and accountable for maintaining an accurate, current view of partner performance, and managing capacity planning / estimation for contractor needs

Lead modernization efforts to reduce technical debt, decouple legacy systems, and evolve toward service-oriented solutions

Build a high-performing engineering culture by fostering career growth, engineering excellence, and metrics driven continuous improvement

Ensure team understands the vision and objectives of the organization and how their backlog and priorities support achieving those objectives

Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, and Integration teams to deliver seamless quoting experiences

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in technology with emphasis in computer information systems or equivalent experience required. If equivalent experience, high school diploma required

Minimum three years of experience managing technology platforms and software engineers

Minimum 5+ years in a leadership role; demonstrated experience leading people and/or teams; directly or indirectly

Proven experience in transforming delivery models to improve speed, quality, and cost efficiency

Strong understanding of cloud platforms and modern software engineering practices

Strong team building, change management and people management skills in a matrixed and geographically dispersed organization

Knowledge of agile engineering practices, development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, Slack, VersionOne)

Requires excellent analytical ability, consultative, communication, change management, presentation and management skills, strong judgment, and ability to effectively liaise with cross functional stakeholders and optimize teams

A 'bar-raiser' mentality, driven to motivate and lead teams in a high performing culture talent environment and able to provide direct, candid feedback to employee

Preferred

Experience with Product Configuration solutions and Product Data Management is a bonus
