Chase is seeking a Software Engineer III to join their Corporate Technology - Data Analytics Platform team. In this role, you will design and deliver technology products while collaborating with various teams to implement core data lake capabilities and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Support implementation and scaling of core data lake capabilities on Databricks, including ingestion, processing, governance, cataloging, quality, lineage, access, and consumption

Test and evaluate new Databricks features; participate in PoCs and help integrate useful capabilities into the platform

Assist in performance and reliability improvements through tuning, load/stress testing, and monitoring

Document best practices, guardrails, runbooks, and onboarding materials for broader CDAP engineer reference

Explore agentic solutions and tools to enhance automation, developer experience, and operational efficiency

Demonstrates enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to learn

Required

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience

Proficient in coding in one or more languages such as Python and SQL

Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle

Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security

Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Hands on experience in cloud data or platform engineering including implementation experience

Working knowledge of AWS: Virtual Private Clouds, subnets, routing, security groups, and NACLs

Hands on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and/or AWS ECS

Proficient in observability tools and practices
