Responsibilities

Assist the Lead Superintendent in overseeing daily on-site operations, including coordination of subcontractors, labor, and materials
Read, interpret, and ensure compliance with construction plans, specifications, and blueprints
Focus on critical areas such as fire-rated assemblies, proper framing dimensions, and overall structural integrity
Monitor and enforce job site safety protocols, quality standards, and schedule adherence
Conduct site inspections, manage punch lists, and support project documentation (daily logs, progress reports)
Collaborate with the project team to resolve field issues, maintain productivity, and ensure smooth project progression from current phase to closeout
Promote a positive and safe work environment while building strong relationships with the team and subcontractors

Required

Proven experience in construction, with strong proficiency in reading and understanding construction plans and blueprints
Specific expertise in fire assemblies (e.g., rated walls, penetrations, and systems) and framing dimensions/structural detailing
Prior field experience (e.g., as a foreman, carpenter, or similar role) in commercial or relevant construction projects
Solid understanding of construction safety practices (OSHA knowledge preferred) and quality control
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively under direction
Physical ability to work on-site in varying conditions, with reliable transportation

Preferred

Proficiency in basic project management tools (e.g., scheduling software, Microsoft Office) is a plus
