Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance DCS industrial programs (RedLion Crimson HMI, IDEC PLC)
Troubleshoot automation program bugs, logic errors, and data flow issues
Support controls design improvements and feature additions for field equipment
Ensure reliable, accurate data acquisition from industrial systems into DCS platforms
Develop and maintain databases, data warehouses, and data lake environments
Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest operational and industrial datasets
Improve data quality, transformation workflows, storage performance, and governance
Work closely with operations, engineering, and IT stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions
Maintain clear and organized technical documentation for both automation and data systems
Qualification
Required
Industrial, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or relevant degree
Professional experience with control system architecture (IDEC PLCs, Red Lion HMI, or similar)
Exposure to database or data engineering concepts (SQL, ETL, data modeling)
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work autonomously in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities
Comfortable collaborating with field staff, engineers, and cross-functional teams
Preferred
Experience with relational database design and management
Familiarity with SQL Server, MySQL, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, or similar
Understanding of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC-UA, Ethernet/IP)
Experience with scripting or programming languages (Python preferred)
Interest in learning modern data engineering frameworks and cloud tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to debug and support existing applications
