Responsibilities
Take complete ownership of the flagship 35,000 sq ft West Palm Beach distribution facility
Run the facility like it's YOUR business
Maintain organization & cleanliness - This warehouse must be showcase-quality at all times
Ensure inventory accuracy - 15,000 SKUs with zero tolerance for stock errors or misplaced materials
Coordinate multi-channel operations - Walk-ins need immediate service while e-comm orders ship and delivery trucks load
Lead a team - Managing warehouse crew, picker/packers, will-call staff, and forklift operators
Ensure customer satisfaction - Trade contractors expect pro-level service and expert product knowledge
Optimize efficiency & profitability - Optimizing space utilization, labor productivity, and operational flow
Maintain safety & compliance - Adhere to OSHA standards, equipment maintenance, and proper material handling
Qualification
Required
5+ years managing complex multi-channel warehouse operations (walk-in retail + e-commerce + delivery staging)
Building materials distribution or builder supply experience - you understand lumber grades, fasteners, roofing, electrical, plumbing SKU complexity
Proven inventory management excellence with 5,000+ SKU operations
Customer service leadership - managing customer-facing operations and trade counter support
Expert forklift operator (standard, teledyne, order picker)
Experience with warehouse management systems and inventory control software
Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred - daily customer and crew interaction
High school diploma minimum; college degree preferred
Valid FL driver's license
Current forklift certifications (multiple types)
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software
Strong computer skills (inventory databases, QuickBooks helpful)
Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in active warehouse environment
Exceptional organizational skills and obsessive attention to detail
Leadership presence and ability to command respect from crews
Preferred
Experience managing 10,000+ SKU operations with high accuracy
Background in customer-facing builder supply or construction materials distribution
Track record of improving inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and operational efficiency
Bilingual capability to serve customers and manage diverse crews
Systems thinking - ability to create processes that prevent problems vs. just reacting
