Junior Level Software Developer
WinTec Arrowmaker, Inc. is a defense contractor dedicated to providing outstanding program management, engineering, logistics, and operations support to Department of Defense, Other Government Agencies, and Commercial Partners. This position is for a Junior Level Software Developer responsible for the creation of software designed for military research and development work.

Responsibilities
Assist with support in data science, security, database, and deployment processes for applications built with several distinct languages and architectures
Be part of a development team responsible for building applications and programs using C#, Java/Kotlin, JavaScript (React), Nodejs, Express, HTML, and CSS
Assisting the development manager with all aspects of software design and coding (e.g. Agile/Scrum Development, CI/CD Processes, Version Control (Git), and Containerization)
Attending and contributing to company development meetings
Learning the codebase and improving your coding skills
Writing and maintaining code
Conducting development tests, working on minor bug fixes, and writing reports
Monitoring the technical performance of internal systems
Qualification
Required
U.S. citizenship is required
Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science related field
Knowledge of basic coding languages including C++, Java/Kotlin, HTML5, and JavaScript
Basic programming experience
Knowledge of databases and operating systems
Required travel up to 20% (3 trips a year each trip lasting from 10 -13 days)
Basic experience or familiarity with drone/UAV systems
Hands-on exposure to Mission Planner or similar GCS tools (mission planning, parameter tuning, running simple scripts)
Basic scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, Mission Planner API, or similar)
General “techie” or IT background: comfort tinkering with software/OS configurations, troubleshooting basic networking issues, and independently learning new tools
Comfortable working in Linux environments, including running or modifying simple shell scripts
The ability to obtain and maintain DOD Secret Clearance
Preferred
Military background or familiarity with military command and control structures
Possess a working knowledge of the organizational interface of military, federal, state, and local agencies
Demonstrate time management, problem-solving skills, self-motivation, eagerness to learn, and attention to detail
Ability to efficiently react to shifting program requirements and work in a team environment
Effectively communicate, both orally and in writing
