Nevada Senior Claims Adjuster for P&C

Responsibilities
Determine insurance coverage, compensability, and liability for assigned property and casualty claims
Investigate claims by interviewing claimants, insureds, clients, and witnesses
Resolve complex coverage, liability, and damage issues utilizing sound judgment and technical expertise
Coordinate and manage vendor services, including contractors, emergency mitigation, repair, and cleaning services
Maintain control of litigation activities and associated costs in accordance with account-specific guidelines
Handle catastrophic losses and other sensitive or high-exposure claims
Prepare and deliver comprehensive, accurate written reports to clients and excess carriers, including recommendations and exposure evaluations
Negotiate settlements effectively with claimants, attorneys, and other involved parties
Respond to client and stakeholder inquiries in a timely, professional manner
Attend mediations, conferences, workshops, and training sessions as required
Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and claims trends
Travel as needed for claim investigations, inspections, or scene evaluations
Maintain all required state-specific licenses and continuing education requirements
Adhere to company standards, Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies, and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
An active Nevada Independent Adjuster License is required
5–7 years of property and casualty claims experience
Candidate must reside within the state of Nevada to be considered for this role
Strong knowledge of property construction principles, building codes, and property and casualty claims handling procedures
Extensive understanding of claims investigation techniques, adjustment practices, and litigation management
Proficiency in Xactimate and ability to utilize standard and customized claims software applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed, accurate, and well-supported reports
Ability to independently manage a complex caseload, meet time-sensitive deadlines, and exercise sound judgment
Advanced knowledge of medical and legal terminology, with the ability to interpret multi-state laws and regulations
Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
Ability to adapt to evolving technology, systems, and processes
Preferred
Minimum of 5–7 years of property and casualty claims adjusting experience preferred
Additional state licenses or designations (e.g., AIC, CPCU) preferred
