Responsibilities
Work with other engineers, technicians; apply engineering principles to design, fabricate, modify and evaluate radar transmitters, high-power modulators, and related electrical components and systems
Prepare design plans and part specifications
Conduct analyses and tests as needed to evaluate new designs, materials, and processes
Design and implement automation for pulsed power and high-power microwave experiments
Model pulsed power dynamics, resonant cavities, and microwave feed line interactions
Work with limited supervision, routinely and capably engage independent work
Provide recommendations as appropriate; offer feedback to managers and coworkers
Review drawings, etc. prepared by technical support personnel
Perform other tasks as instructed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Three plus years' experience as a Pulsed Power Engineer
Self-guided and active team player with a willingness to learn
Demonstrable analytical skills and “hands-on” aptitude
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to travel (domestic and abroad)
