Milk Bank Donor Coordinator

Responsibilities
Conduct screenings of potential milk bank donors via in-person and over the phone
Interface with healthcare providers in order to complete the approval process for milk bank donors and with hospitals and outpatient clients to dispense donor milk
Analyze appropriate data for approval of milk bank donors
Prepare reports for the HMBANA
Work closely with the Milk Bank Systems Coordinator, Pasteurization Coordinator, Breastfeeding Center, and department leadership in planning, implementing, promoting, and evaluation of the donor intake program
Assist in shipping and receiving of coolers, and pasteurizing donor milk
Serve as a resource for Milk Bank Staff
Attend and work at conferences educating and promoting the Mothers' Milk Bank
Complete one on one session with donors
Document all data given
Provide feedback to donors, healthcare providers, and staff
Attend staff meetings
Record or certificate of attendance or completion of competencies, or continuing education to meet professional requirements to be maintained
Meet and greet mothers
Perform telephone duties
Keep track of donor labs
Write letters and memos
Qualification
Required
Associate or Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Nursing, Social Work, Nutrition, dietetics, or other healthcare related field
2 years clinical experience in area of degree preferred
Teaching experience preferred
Computer skills
Ability to read, interpret, and analyze data from various computer systems and equipment
Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
Work which produces levels of mental/visual fatigue which are typical of jobs that perform a wide variety of duties with frequent and significant uncontrollable deadlines
Work may include the operation of and full attention to a personal computer up to 80% of the time
Involves considerable standing and/or walking, and regular lifting of light-weight objects (i.e. 20 pounds or less)

Attend and work at conferences educating and promoting the Mothers' Milk Bank
