Executive Recruiter
The Guitar Center Company is the world's largest multichannel musical instrument retailer, and they are seeking an Executive Recruiter to enhance their talent acquisition strategy. In this role, you will partner with senior executives to define leadership roles and lead high-impact searches while ensuring a high-quality candidate experience.
Responsibilities
Lead full-cycle executive searches and develop targeted, insight-driven search strategies, leveraging market mapping, competitive intelligence, and proactive outreach
Partner with senior leaders to define role expectations, success profiles, and informed hiring decisions
Deliver a smooth, high-quality candidate experience, ensuring consistent communication and thoughtful engagement
Manage structured, organized interview processes, including kickoffs, calibrations, debriefs, and offer alignment
Build and maintain strong leadership pipelines to support current and future organizational needs
Use talent analytics and market insights to guide search strategies and influence stakeholder decisions
Enhance Talent Acquisition operations by maintaining high-quality ATS/CRM data and supporting process efficiencies, governance, and consistency
Contribute to continuous improvements in TA tools, AI tools, systems, and reporting, offering insights that elevate overall effectiveness
Represent the organization externally, cultivating relationships that strengthen our leadership talent network and employer brand
Qualification
Required
7+ years of recruiting experience, with significant focus on senior/executive-level role
Experience in retail, consumer, or omnichannel/digital businesses; strong understanding of how store, digital, and supply chain functions connect to drive customer experience
Background in executive search (retained or boutique) and/or in-house executive recruiting supporting VP/C-suite stakeholders
Proven track record managing multiple executive searches simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, challenge assumptions, and drive decisions using data and market insight
Strong direct sourcing skills: research, mapping target companies, engaging passive talent, and building long-term relationships
Experience using ATS/CRM systems and leveraging recruiting analytics (time-to-fill, pipeline health, diversity metrics, etc.)
Preferred
Experience recruiting across multiple geographies
Exposure to leadership assessments or succession planning processes
Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience)
