Holland, L.P. is seeking an Accounting Intern to gain hands-on experience in the accounting department. The role involves shadowing team members, assisting with financial record maintenance, and handling various accounting tasks to learn about office operations.

Responsibilities

Shadow members of the Accounting department as they perform their duties

Assist with research, data entry, record and maintain accurate and complete financial records

Work with accounting software

Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity

Compile various analyses, create journal entries and support the various divisions

Take on additional tasks or projects to learn about accounting and office operations

Required

Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED

Must be currently or recently enrolled in college courses related to Accounting

Must have basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)

Ability to maintain confidentiality while dealing with protected information

Ability to multi task and prioritize your work flow

Intermediate MS Office skills including Excel, Word and Power Point

Possess a high level of efficiency, accuracy and responsibility

Must have motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible

Strong customer service and problem-solving skills

Efficient at communicating both written and verbal

Must be willing to take and pass all mandatory pre-employment testing

Must be able to maintain a valid driver's license along with an e-Rail Safe badge and meet the Holland Vehicle Fleet Policy
