Responsibilities
Handle incoming calls and assist patients with account balance inquiries
Educate patients on EOBs, CPT codes, and diagnosis details to ensure clarity and understanding
Process, collect, and accurately post payments to the system, maintaining financial integrity
Coordinate payment reporting and communicate details to collection agencies for timely follow-up
Deliver exceptional customer service via phone, resolving inquiries with professionalism and empathy
Demonstrate independent judgment to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
Ensure compliance with clinic payment policies and procedures
Assist with all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum: 2 years of revenue cycle experience in a healthcare setting
Ability to work independently with minimal instruction in a team environment
Understanding of CMS billing guidelines and professional clinic billing guidelines
Experience of PC, Windows and Microsoft Office
Knowledge of healthcare insurance and medical terminology
Good grammar, spelling and communication skills
Ability to multi-task
Preferred
Desired: Post secondary education
