The intern will act as a liaison between customers and Account Managers, manage inventory, and participate in various projects to promote product sales.

Responsibilities
Spend most of the time at customers’ locations, maintaining inventory and ensuring customers have the parts they need
Assist with stocking, organizing, and replenishing inventory at customer facilities, including Van Meter-owned or consignment stock
Gain insight into the operational process of taking in and managing orders, including data entry and system updates
Observe customer operations and identify potential opportunities or solutions to share with Account Managers or Specialists
Participate in physical tasks such as taking inventory orders and putting away parts in customer cribs
Learn more about automation and the environments we serve, gaining a broad understanding of Van Meter’s offerings
Qualification
Required
Strong customer service skills and ability to build relationships
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Willingness to learn, grow, and adapt to change
Comfortable with hands-on work in customer environments
Positive attitude and dependability
High School Graduate
Pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field
Reliable transportation
Experience in Microsoft Office software: specifically, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
