Cedars-Sinai Marina Del Rey Hospital is seeking Registered Nurse II Interns for their Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Internship Program. This 12-week program involves both classroom and hands-on training to prepare RNs for independent functioning in the ICU on night shifts.

Responsibilities

Provides direct and indirect patient care services, including the administration of medications and therapeutic agents necessary to implement treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plan of care
Determine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the hospital system
Displays knowledge and is able to identify and make special adjustments to the specific populations needs, including cultural, spiritual, age, psychosocial, communication, gender, sexual orientation, economic, education, family and condition needs
Respond quickly, and with accuracy to changes in condition or response to treatment

Required

Registered Nurse (RN) license
Completion of an accredited nursing program
Ability to provide direct and indirect patient care services
Knowledge of medication administration and therapeutic agents
Ability to determine priorities of care based on patient needs
Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition
Strong communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Willingness to work night shifts

Preferred

Experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Previous nursing internship or clinical experience
Familiarity with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
Bilingual or multilingual skills

Tuition Reimbursement: Repays up to $600 per calendar year for fees expended to attend a job-related seminar, licensure renewal (if mandated by job description), workshop, conference, individual course, or other training programs.
Tuition Loan: Provides up to $2,000 per calendar year for approved formal certificate or degree programs including prerequisites for approved degree programs. A tuition loan and reimbursement may, with appropriate approvals, be combined for a maximum of $2,600.
Critical Pipeline Loan: Tuition loans up to $5,250 for specific degree programs at approved, accredited schools identified by the organization, including BSN and MSN. This program is for attaining the following degrees:
Employees may have their loans Forgiven if they continue eligible employment for 12 months after completion of the term for which the loan was given
