Business Financial Analyst

The Architect of the Capitol is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the Capitol and its grounds, and they are seeking a Business Financial Analyst to provide expert financial management and advisory services. Responsibilities

Serving as an agency’s principal advisor on budgetary matters and interpretation of policies, regulations, and laws related to the federal budget process
Utilizing principles, policies, regulations and procedures of budget/financial transactions to evaluate financial data and prepare a variety of reports
Monitoring obligations, expenditures, and payroll funding to identify trends and mitigate risk
Providing expert financial advisory services to managers or executives, including high level analyses and briefings
Overseeing or analyzing non-appropriated or revolving funds, including revenue tracking, profit and loss analysis, internal controls, or contract financial oversight

Required

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position
You must meet all eligibility and qualifications requirements by the closing date of the job announcement
Specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level
Candidates for this GS-13 position must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service
