Responsibilities
Evaluate current-state utility operations across planning, engineering, project management, field execution and more
Conduct stakeholder interviews, data analysis, and process mapping to identify inefficiencies and pain points
Assess maturity of performance metrics, governance practices, and resource alignment
Develop future-state operating models, optimized processes, and governance frameworks
Define strategic performance metrics and reporting structures aligned with business objectives
Facilitate workshops to align stakeholders and clarify roles, responsibilities, and decision rights
Support implementation of process, organizational, and performance improvements across teams
Create practical deliverables to guide adoption (such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), Organization charts, dashboards, or change management plans)
Provide ongoing coordination, reporting, and knowledge transfer to ensure sustainability
Prepare high-quality presentations and reports to communicate findings, progress, and results
Qualification
Required
B.S. in Engineering, Business, or a related field
Minimum of 15 years of professional experience, with at least 10 years in the electrical utility industry and a minimum of 5 years in management consulting
Proven experience leading enterprise transformation initiatives
Strong understanding of utility organizational structure and business operations
Familiarity with operational excellence methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar)
PMP or Six Sigma Green Belt certification
Proactive, self-directed professional with a strong bias for action and results
Creative problem-solver with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive solutions independently
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and executive communication skills
Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
Skilled in project management and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
Strong organizational agility with the ability to shift priorities and manage multiple client needs
Preferred
Advanced degree in Business, Engineering or a related field
8 years of experience in management consulting, particularly in executing and managing sustainable operational business and process improvement projects
Six Sigma Black Belt certification
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL for data analysis and process automation
