Finance and Operations Specialist
(add)ventures is a multidisciplinary brand culture and communications firm seeking a highly organized Finance and Operations Specialist for their East Providence location. This role involves client and vendor management, financial record-keeping, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and financial policies.

Responsibilities
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Assist with processing and managing A/P and A/R tasks to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions
Records Management: Maintain meticulous records and documentation to support financial compliance and auditing processes
Help manage month close processes to support accurate accrual-based monthly financial reporting (Advanced Billing and Revenue Recognition process, prepare prepaid expenses accrual journal entry, maintain monthly financial budgets, etc.)
Lead vendor and client setup including preparation of WFH and NDA agreements and master terms and conditions
Vendor support and management, including onboarding vendors into our signature platform, processing vendor check payments, and communicating with vendors as needed
Client support and management, including invoicing, payment processing, collections, and communicating with clients as needed
Maintaining client and vendor records and tracking sheets (Google Suite)
Assisting with the 1099 process
HR Support: Conduct various HR-related activities for onboarding and current employee management
Ad-hoc and operational support: Provide front desk coverage and perform other duties as required to support the financial health and operational efficiency of the company
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
3-5 years of bookkeeping or related accounting experience
Strong knowledge of accounts payable/receivable, invoicing and billing, financial reporting
Understanding of accounting basics: debits and credits, chart of accounts, accrual vs. cash accounting
Exceptional proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets including use of formulas, pivot tables, and data organization
Willing to leverage new digital and AI tools for operational efficiencies
Experience with coding GL accounts
Knowledge of sales tax rules
Familiarity with 1099 preparation
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated capacity to work with integrity and maintain confidentiality
Preferred
Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance
