Subcontract Program Manager - Space Technologies

Responsibilities

Lead effort to develop and maintain a consistent business rhythm with key subcontractors, ensuring that cost, schedule, and technical objectives are met
Oversee the end-to-end subcontracting process, including RFP activities, negotiations, awards, and performance management
Ensure subcontractor performance aligns with program specifications, including cost, schedule, quality
Manage and release deliverables, including Statements of Work (SOWs) and Subcontract Data Requirements Lists (SDRLs)
Lead programmatic and technical meetings with subcontractors and internal engineering teams, fostering clear communication and accountability
Identify, forecast, and resolve issues impacting subcontractor performance, ensuring continuous progress and delivery
Report project status and performance metrics to program leadership team and customers

Required

Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience project or program management, and/or supply chain management such as procurement, subcontract administration, subcontract management and/or negotiation
Experience supporting or managing programs, and/or suppliers in aerospace industry
Ability to lead and direct the activities and resources within and across the organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to listen, assimilate, evaluate, and summarize. Sound ability to communicate with the customer at all levels
Knowledge of the Project Lifecycle from requirements definition, proposal preparation and negotiation and project implementation through to completion
Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction

Preferred

Master's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or related field
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
5+ years experience in program management or supply chain within aerospace, defense, or other complex hardware system industries
