Field Service Supervisor

The Field Service Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the scheduling of all fieldwork, communicating with customers about repairs, and enforcing the company’s policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
Coordinate field repairs, services, and maintenance of equipment
Direct troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and testing of equipment in the field
Develop and maintain repair schedules for all field personnel on a daily basis
Create work orders and oversee ordering of necessary parts and materials, providing all pertinent information to the service department administrative assistant for the closing of work orders and invoicing
Maintain constant communication with customers by providing repair estimates, change recommendations, scheduling, and completion dates for field repairs and services, and obtaining customer approval for these services
Communicate with other internal department by providing repair estimates, change recommendations, scheduling, and completion dates for field repairs or services
Oversee maintenance condition of all rental units in the field
Responsible for receiving, pre-delivery, and delivery condition of all new equipment in the field, maintaining all necessary records
Provide schedules for outside vendors and manufacturers
Responsible for Specialized Tooling utilized in the field, condition of tools, maintenance and updating
Track the failed parts removed from all machines in the field – customer, internal, or warranty repairs within company guidelines
Oversee maintenance of field technician service trucks, lube trucks, and other service department vehicles for safety, repairs, and maintenance
Qualification
Required
Associate Degree or equivalent experience
Five years experience as a heavy equipment technician
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Thorough understanding of basic mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural systems
Knowledge of the company's parts order system and work order system
Proficient in Word, Excel, and other software programs
Excellent organizational skills
