Parts and Service Technician
TrailersPlus, a Division of Interstate Group, is seeking a Parts and Service Technician to manage the Parts and Service department efficiently. The role involves assisting with inventory, servicing trailers, and ensuring a clean and safe facility while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
Completing daily processes that include parts sales, service work, inventory control, receiving product, and customer deliveries
Assist the management team with all service, parts/accessories installations, and warranty work
Receive delivery of trailers, parts, supplies, and submit paperwork to management for review
Completing Pre-Delivery Inspections-PDIs/Post Labor Inspections-PLIs
Use a consultative selling process to effectively help fit the customer’s use of the trailer with appropriate parts and service provided by TrailersPlus through the PDI and PLI process
Maintain the store facilities and trailers, in order to promote safety, security, and a professional appearance
Perform preventative and daily maintenance, minor repairs and daily inspections of company equipment and vehicles
Verify proper invoicing of all trailers, parts, and labor during the PDI and PLI process
Work strategically and collaboratively with the management staff and other departments of the company
Attend and participate in all required team and company meetings
Investigate and assist with the resolution of warranty, repair, facility, and equipment problems
Assist Store Management team in trailer sales, as needed. Where required by state law, PST must obtain and maintain a valid sales license
Ensure that all policies and procedures related to managing the facility’s keys are fully executed and enforced
Assist Store Management team in generating leads in the local market
Ability to safely operate forklift and tractor. (Company certification required)
Ability to safely operate power tools and welding equipment. (Company certification required)
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Six months to one year of related experience and/or training
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry as needed
Knowledge of online computer systems
Basic keyboarding skills
Ability to solve practical problems dealing with a variety of concrete variables
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Ability to safely operate forklift and tractor (Company certification required)
Ability to safely operate power tools and welding equipment (Company certification required)
