Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns, including sales and use tax filings
Provide tax advisory support and ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations
Review and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and tax documentation
Support budgeting, forecasting, and operational financial analysis for client engagements
Perform general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and bookkeeping oversight
Partner with clients to improve accounting workflows, controls, and reporting accuracy
Lead client projects from planning through completion with clear, proactive communication
Utilize modern accounting platforms and technology to support client deliverables
Qualification
Required
Extensive experience with corporate tax returns in lieu of CPA
5+ years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on tax preparation
Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
Advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization abilities
Client-facing mindset with excellent communication skills
Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines simultaneously
Preferred
CPA Preferred
Experience with Zoho Books and/or Sage is a plus
