Program Coordinator - NOW Mobile Unit (55885)

Phoenix House is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Brooklyn Community Recovery Center’s Neighborhood Outreach on Wheels (NOW) mobile unit. The coordinator will manage the daily operations of the program, focusing on expanding access to recovery-oriented services and strengthening workforce development opportunities for individuals in recovery.

Responsibilities

Responsible for both administrative and peer professional staff; supervises their hiring, informs/conducts performance evaluations, assigns training activities, recommends for promotions, evaluates for discipline and terminations
Coordinate mobile outreach logistics, including schedules, staffing, supplies, and reporting on engagement numbers, Oversee coordination of recovery coaching, Narcan/OOPP trainings, wellness workshops, and pop-up recovery events
Collect and analyze data on outreach contacts, enrollments, and training outcomes; prepare monthly and quarterly reports per DOHMH requirements
Facilitate staff meetings, monitor program activities, and ensure compliance with Phoenix House policies and DOHMH grant requirements
Strengthen partnerships with community organizations, elected officials, law enforcement, and public health entities to coordinate the “Quick Response Team” (QRT) model for overdose and harm reduction response
Evaluate and monitors program activities (e.g. counseling, peer encounter groups, seminars and workshops, work assignments)
Represent BKCRC in community coalitions, advisory boards, and stakeholder meetings
Develop culturally competent and trauma informed outreach strategies for LGBTQ+, veteran, justice-involved, and other vulnerable populations
Support budget tracking and grant compliance for the program’s deliverables

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related human services field
NYS Driver's License
Certified Recovery Peer Advocate, Certified Recovery Coach, Certified Peer Specialist

Preferred

Master's Degree in Social Work, Public Health, Psychology, Mental Health or related field
2 years of experience providing or coordinating service delivery, mentoring/coaching/leading staff and/or volunteers
Experience working in outreach programs or other in-community service delivery settings
Familiarity with regulations governing substance use disorder recovery support services
