Regulatory Affairs Intern
X-energy is a company involved in nuclear reactor licensing activities. The Regulatory Affairs Intern will support the execution and transformation of licensing activities, assist with application preparations, and contribute to streamlining the licensing process.

Responsibilities
Assist with tasks or projects related to the area of study
Support construction permit and operating license pre-application and ongoing application review activities, including participating in meetings with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, supporting the development of responses to information requests, and supporting the preparation of technical papers
Support the development and execution of strategies to streamline and standardize the licensing process for new nuclear plants, ensuring regulatory compliance while reducing inefficiencies and providing consistent language across licensing documentation
Provide support for day-to-day departmental or team operations
Participate in brainstorming sessions, meetings, and project discussions offering input and feedback when appropriate
Attend team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions to enhance operational efficiency or project outcomes
Help organize and maintain project files, documents, and records
Conduct research and gather information for ongoing initiatives and projects
Help prepare reports, presentations, or other materials as needed
Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication
Perform other duties as assigned by manager
Qualification
Required
Current student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in engineering or science (e.g., mechanical, nuclear, electrical, physics) or other related area
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Candidates must submit at least one letter of recommendation as part of the application process
