The role involves assisting Senior Network Engineers in various tasks related to network design, planning, and integration while providing opportunities for career development and industry experience.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities will include assisting the Senior Network Engineers in the design, planning, integration, migration and decommissioning of the following layers:-

Outside Plant & Fibre

Inside Plant, Racks, Cabling, etc

DWDM

SDH

DCN

Critical Infrastructure (Space, Power, Cooling)

In addition, this role will require utilising bespoke inventory systems and will require individuals who have a methodical and logical approach to data analysis and manipulation

The role will also offer the chance to travel

Above all, we are looking for individuals with enthusiasm, motivation and willingness to learn and take on responsibility

This is a great opportunity to gain industry experience with a view to potentially securing a long term role

Required

Knowledge of telecommunication principles

Conversant with Microsoft Office

Good communication skills (written and verbal)

Degree or MSc qualified in an Engineering Subject

Preferred

IP principles and Networks experience desirable

Advanced Excel or Access Skills

AC/DC Power experience desirable

Practical/hands-on experience with telecommunication equipment (routers, switches, etc)
