New Grad, Entry LevelSouthern Hills Country Club is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Accounts Payable and Accounting Clerk to join our team. The role involves managing accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely payments, and supporting the accounting operations of the Club.

Responsibilities
Review, verify, and process invoices, ensuring proper documentation and approvals
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Prepare twice-a-week payment runs and ensure all payments are made in a timely manner
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and supporting documentation
Set up new vendors, gather necessary documentation, verifying information, and setting up payment details
Answer vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues
Assist with general ledger entries and monthly bank reconciliations
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Assist with annual 1099 filings and related compliance
Assist in other accounting and administrative tasks as needed
Assist with annual external audits, gathering requested documentation and supporting information
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience in accounts payable, accounting, or related field
Understanding basic accounting principles and practices
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
