Lead Electrical Engineer
Eaton is a global technology leader in power management solutions, and they are seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join their ES AMER ARS division. The primary purpose of this role is to lead the switchboard electrical engineering team focusing on Data Center business, ensuring engineering excellence and delivering high-quality, customer-focused solutions.

Responsibilities
Interpret detailed non-standard customer requirements and translate them, as closely as possible into previously established standards. Contact field sales and/or the end customer or Consulting Engineer as required to ensuring accurate interpretation of the intent of the specifications
Guide engineering teams in interpreting complex customer requirements and translating them into manufacturable switchboard designs
Coordinate mechanical and electrical interfaces with other products
Complete all phases of the custom order engineering process to ensure accurate and timely completion of Customer Approval (CA) and Manufacturing Information (MI) drawings
Consult with Plant and Field Sales Engineers in interpreting and defining new equipment applications
Act as a technical liaison for strategic customers and consulting engineers, ensuring alignment on specifications and expectations
Coach and develop engineering talent; deliver technical training across departments
Proactively participate on cross functional teams in support of implementing lean manufacturing strategies, including front end business process improvement
Demonstrate clear understanding of the full breadth of product line offering, including complex wiring and design applications in order to provide exceptional solution selling support to field sales and/or channel partners
Interface with the Design Engineering dept as necessary for development of switchboard custom designs
Interface with Quality/Warranty Department to ensure continued post-shipment customer support
Support the Quality Dept through assisting in troubleshooting problems during electrical testing and developing test procedures
Adhere to all safety rules and procedures, including 5S requirements, and responsible for reporting unsafe conditions to the appropriate management or ESP/ELS representative as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
Minimum of 5 years of experience in application engineering of Low or Medium voltage Switchboard/Switchgear or Power distribution engineering
Minimum 2 years of experience processing data center orders
Minimum 1 year of PLC Programming

Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Proficient understanding of electricity
Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD
Experience with Eaton systems: VISTA, Bid Manager, AS-400, ENOVIA & DMM
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Demonstrated technical and application knowledge of switchboards
